Crizal Transitions® Signature™
Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses enhances visual experience of eyeglass wearers in the Philippines
Modern lens wearers need not suffer from harmful UV rays and glare as Essilor launches its latest Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses in the country. It is the most responsive adaptive lens, developed with the latest Chromea7™technology and tested with an exclusive measurement methodology, Life360™, which enhances the visual experience of lens wearers.
“These lenses are developed with lens wearers who lead a busy lifestyle in mind. They go in and out of office buildings and travel around the world, staying in countries with different climates and especially the consistent hot climate in Asia. They need the best protection for their eyes without compromising clear and sharp vision,” said Dr Emelita Roleda, Essilor Philippines general manager. Crizal Transitions is the leading Photochromic lens that change its tint according to light
exposure. With the unique state-of-the-art light management technology in every lens design, it is the most popular choice among lens wearers. The latest Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses are made with Chromea7™ technology, an exclusive dye formulation which enables the lenses to be more responsive to the smallest change in light condition outdoors while maintaining clarity indoors. Chromea7™ also made the lenses more responsive to hot climates such as Asia. This scientific breakthrough increases the lenses’ sensitivity to light – allowing them to adapt well across various environmental conditions – and capture colors and images more vividly, leading to a superior and more comfortable wearing experience unlike any other.
To ensure its flawless assimilation in real life, Crizal Transitions Signature used the pioneering methodology Life360™, which is a more holistic approach compared to current traditional lab-testing models practiced in the industry.
Through the Life360™ methodology, Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses have undergone rigorous testing and evaluation in more than 200 real life conditions and 1,000 scenarios in different countries, including Thailand and the Philippines. These scenarios are comprised of combinations of different temperatures, angles of light, UV light, weather conditions, and geographical locations, which ensure the lenses versatility across a variety of settings for all lens wearers.
Furthermore, lens wearers of both clear and photochromic glasses were also tested. According to
Life360 research, 82 percent of clear lens wearers and 93 percent of photochromic lens wearers reported an enhanced visual experience with Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses. Participants said that the lenses had improved responsiveness in more situations, registered faster activation speed and fade back while maintaining clarity of vision indoors and at night.
“The high humidity experienced by countries near the equator means that various levels of cloud cover
across the region result in more indirect sunlight. Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses’ level of tint adapts to all outdoor conditions, making them the smart choice for all-day protection as today’s wearers commute between indoor and outdoor environments, as well as travel from region to region,” Roleda said.
Crizal Transitions® Signature™ lenses are currently available at all authorized eye care practitioners in a range of materials and designs.
